Nuala McDermott qualified from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading , in 2001, after having completed a three year course in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. Nuala has also qualified in the Bowen Technique from the European College of Bowen Studies, for which she is shortly to launch a free childrens clinic in the Plymouth area.

Since qualifying she has established practices in Leamington Spa and Plymouth and has regularly carried out supervision for detox programme auricular acupuncture practitioners.
She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, and is therefore guided by a Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. Nuala is committed to increasing her knowledge and skills by following an ongoing programme of career development.

Nuala views treatment as a two way process, in which practitioner and client work together to address health concerns. This often involves looking at lifestyle and ways of addressing stress. Dietary advice, based on the Chinese theory of the energetics of food, is often a part of treatment and is always tailored to meet individual needs.
